Dylan MacKenzie, Head Golf Professional

Dylan is a graduate of the PGM (Professional Golf Management) program at Georgian College in 2012. He started his golf career in 2011 working at Bayview Golf and Country Club under PGA of Canada Hall of Fame member, Warren Crosbie. He then came here to Barrie Country Club to work in the Back Shop under Bill Wogden starting in April of 2012 and worked his way through the Back Shop, the Pro Shop, running events, becoming a Professional and now having his Class A designation. In 2024 Dylan gained some Head Professional experience while working at Midland Golf and Country Club and is now entering his 2nd season as the Head Golf Professional back here at Barrie Country Club. Through all this career growth within the Barrie area, he has also grown as a person and family man. He is married to his wonderful wife Colleen and has a beautiful 4 year old daughter Hazel, an 8 month old son Tommy, along with 2 Golden Retrievers, Bella and Jasper. Dylan and his family are excited to be back here as part of the Barrie Country Club family and look forward to many wonderful years to come!

Tracey Brawley-Burbridge, Associate Professional

Tracey Brawley-Burbridge is a PGA of Canada Class A Professional and has been in the industry for 35 years. Her experience as a golf professional started at Markland Wood Golf and Country Club under the direction of Master Professional, Ken Duggan. She is entering her 18th season at Barrie Country Club where she coaches men, women and children. One of her main duties at BCC is buying and merchandising for the Pro Shop as well as running the Ladies’ League, assisting in organization of women’s events and sits on the BCC Ladies’ executive.

Jordan Guenette, Associate Professional

Jordan is a Class “A” PGA of Canada Professional with 7 years experience in the industry. Spending 6 years as an Assistant Golf Professional at Bigwin Island under the direction of Luke Ridley and Connor Averell, Jordan gained a passion for customer service excellence. He is entering his second year at Barrie Country Club as a Professional but is also very familiar with the course and members as he spent his teenage years here as a junior member here. Jordan is a sports enthusiast. He loves his football, hockey, and obviously golf. Once finishing high school, Jordan attended Humber College for the Professional Golf Management Program, where he continued to develop his skills and network to begin his path to becoming a professional.

Marshall Lawrence-Rafaelic, Assistant Professional

Golf has been a lifelong passion for Marshall, who has been swinging a club since he could walk. Now 26 and a proud member of the PGA of Canada, he brings both experience and enthusiasm to his growing career in the game. As he enters his second year at the Barrie Country Club, Marshall looks forward to contributing to the member experience by applying the knowledge and skills he has developed through years of playing and coaching. With a strong playing background and a genuine love for instruction, Marshall offers lessons to golfers of all levels. His teaching style is easy-going, supportive, and focused on helping players improve while enjoying the process. Marshall is committed to making a positive impact within the golfing community and is excited to share his passion for the game with everyone at the club.

Rob Ferguson, Golf Services Manager

Rob is entering his 7th season here at the Barrie Country Club. Rob has a passion for service, spending twenty years with Starbucks Coffee in the role of Regional Director. Rob is also involved with the OHL Barrie Colts acting as their Team Services Manager. His enthusiasm for the game of golf is very evident when you meet him and is always making sure our members needs are attended to at all times.  

Fred Davey, Head Teaching Professional

Fred is a 20-year veteran Class A member of the PGA of Canada. Fred spent 4 years coaching at the Eagles Nest Golf Academy under the direction of Henry Brunton, Master Golf Professional. Before that, he spent 12 years as the Director of Instruction at the Summit Golf Club. Fred has made the shift from being a traditional golf instructor to a modern golf coach, and students of all ages and abilities are certain to benefit from his experience and expertise. He is a Certified Club Fitter for TaylorMade, Titleist and Callaway, a US Kids Golf Coach and has a Degree from Wilfred Laurier University, where he played on the Golden Hawks Team each year. Fred utilizes launch monitor data and video analysis to facilitate learning. Creating solid impact conditions that produce consistent ball striking is a key focus in all coaching sessions, along with short game skill improvement. Fred has written numerous articles for golf publications, lectured at Humber Colleges and his instruction has appeared on Score TV.
