              TIM HASENACK
Tim has been a member of BCC since 1996.  He is a 3 time winner of the BCC Men’s Club Championship (2006, 2008 and 2009).

He played junior golf at Twenty Valley Golf & Country Club in St. Catherines, Ont. and showed enough promise to garner a golf scholarship to the University of North Florida in Jacksonville where he earned All American Honors in his Senior Year.

After graduating, Tim played professionally for four years before he was reinstated as an amateur in 1996.  He has competed in nine Ontario Amateurs, six Canadian Amateurs, and two Porter Cups against the likes of Phil Mickleson, Jim Furyk and Tim Clark.

Tim counts among his golf career highlights, his victory at the Ontario Assistants Tour Championship in 1992 when he was working as an Assistant Pro at Twenty Valley, and the thrill of competing in the British Mid-Amateur Championship in St. Andrews, Scotland.

Tim, a youthful 46 years old, is married to Lisa and is the proud father of Alyssa, 10 and Ashley, 4.  When he’s not spending time with his family or sharpening his game, he teaches Business at St. Joan of Arc High School in Barrie and convenes and referees the Boys’ High School Hockey League for Simcoe County.

As Championship week approaches, Tim is, as always, working on improving his short game. His view is that “you can never practice getting it up and down too much”.

Asked whether or not he thought that he and his fellow BCC members might have a home field advantage over the rest of the field, Tim replied, "Somewhat. Our greens are very fast and have some subtle breaks that you don't see. But the Canadian Mid-Am field is very strong and is full of the best over-25 year old players in Canada. I think for any BCC member to win, he'll definitely have to play the best golf of his life!”

If that’s what’s required . . . let’s all get behind Tim and the rest of our guys, and wish them the best of luck over the four days of competition.  Maybe even four days of playing the best golf of their lives!
